Following months of virtual action and intense competition, the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia 2025 concludes the race weekend with its Race Day finale. Taking place at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit on 8 June 2025, the top 30 qualifiers across three categories from across the country competed for podium glory during the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia race weekend.

Sepang. Porsche Malaysia, represented by Sime Darby Auto Performance (Auto Performance), hosted its climactic finale of the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia (PESCM) 2025 at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit on 8 June. Held in parallel with Rounds 6 and 7 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA), the virtual race weekend saw virtual action across three different age categories. Bringing together Malaysia’s most talented virtual racers, the winners of the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia took home the challenge trophy together with a Porsche Driving Experience.

Having made its debut in 2024, the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge has established itself as one of the virtual racing platforms for aspiring young talents in the field of motorsports. The 2025 edition of the challenge offered racing enthusiasts as young as 10 years old to compete across three age categories — Junior Dreamers (10–14 years old), Young Dreamers (15–17 years old) and Driven Dreamers (18–25 years old).

An adrenaline filled showdown for racers and fans alike
The Race Day finale delivered an intense show for the crowd. Parents, friends, and motorsport fans packed the Esports Arena to cheer on the finalists, creating an electric atmosphere filled with anticipation. The race day began with a race briefing led by the Race Director proceeded by a 15-minute qualifying session, determining their grid positions for the anticipated final race.

The final races were then underway with each age category delivering its own mix of excitement and challenges. The virtual battles on track featured strategic overtakes, fierce chases, and dramatic in-game contacts that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. Racers battled both adrenaline and skill as they navigated each lap, under the pressure of a live audience. For many, it was a day of intense challenge, but also one filled with friendship and the thrill of motorsport competition at its peak.

The champions of the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia 2025
After an exciting series of races, nine podium spots were awarded across the three contending categories. In the Driven Dreamers category, siblings Naquib Azlan and Nabil Azlan delivered a dominant performance, securing first and second place respectively. Zeth Yuen, a podium winner in the Young Dreamers category last year, made an impressive debut in this new age group by clinching third place.

In the Young Dreamers category, Dhevesh Geeva stormed to victory, with Ethen Low and Nazyff Zain completing the podium in second and third. Meanwhile, the Junior Dreamers final was a tight battle, as Aydrae Amit emerged champion just ahead of Anson Yong after a neck-and-neck battle to the finish line. Jonas Tan, making his first-ever entry into the challenge, came in third place. Each category winner walked away with a challenge trophy and a coveted Porsche Driving Experience.

Recounting the first lap to the final showdown
The 2025 edition of the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia kicked off in March with online registration and a nationwide virtual time-attack qualifier on the Motegi International Circuit. From this first stage, the top 30 racers in each age category from every Porsche Centre across the country were identified and invited to progress to the regional qualifying rounds. These were held at Porsche Centres in Ara Damansara, Johor Bahru, Penang and Sungai Besi, where participants raced on the Buriram International Circuit.

To emulate the challenges of real-world racing, competitors raced on advanced motion-simulated rigs that replicated the dynamics of a race car on an actual track environment. Representing their respective Porsche Centres, the young racers took part in intense time-attack sessions, supported by expert guidance and coaching from professional sim racers. Beyond the competition, participants were immersed in a motorsport-like environment with coaching sessions and a dedicated driver profile photoshoot.

The top 10 contenders from each Porsche Centre then advanced to the final qualifier at Bangsar Shopping Centre, where fans and families gathered to witness their favourite sim racers in action.

Accelerating the motorsport dream through sim racing
The integration of Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia into the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia weekend highlights Porsche Malaysia’s ongoing commitment to developing future motorsport talents and celebrating motorsport excellence in all forms. For the first time, podium finishers will also stand a chance to win a real-life Porsche track driving experience - bridging the gap between virtual aspiration and real-world reward.
